its been a while but ive been doing this kind of replacement over the years on everything...ever try getting new blades for a 58 ford? or a 58 lloyd? let alone the rest of the 70s stuff i have..i WISH i still had the OEM ends on my 83 gtv6 cause NOTHING stays on that car long...they either blow off or wobble about
the trick is to just go into a parts store and look (yes actualy lay eyes on) thru the blades and figure out which ones you can re-use your bits on...the blade edges themselves have never changed, sometimes youll need to use the plastic "sleeve" sides with the new blade slipped into your old setup, other times you use your old metal, never mind the length as you can always just cut to fit.....my 58 ford and lloyd use very short blades so one 20inch will make me a pair of 10s
i always had the best luck "fitment" wise with the trico...sure they arnt as good as the bosch but fitment wise i always had the best luck

I did... They could not locate the rubber blade insert to fit the OEM wipers. Wanted to sell me a refill blade. So far, I'm not interested in a refill. I even drove the car to the dealership for their reference. Got a lot of stares... Maybe I need to cross the boarder? LOL!!
I'll keep looking or maybe try a different MB dealer.

|slik560||Once again, this forum has spared me some anguish for that time in the near future when I will have to replace the wiper inserts. Note to self: keep the inserts!!|

|lrg51||Don't ever throw those metal inserts away! Voice of experience...|

|ChiefRider||I did this years ago in my own 560. Probably should put new refills in my 280's, but they never see rain!|

just installed original bosch wiper refills, here`s how
in my 88 560sl with the original stainless steel wipers.
1 buy 19 inch refills bosch number z-367
2. use a needle nose pliers and spread the end tab that is in the short slot on the old refill, the other end is longer
3. slide the old refill out
4. reuse the 2 long metal inserts out of the old refills
5. slide the new refill on while holding the metal inserts inplace(you need 3 hands)
6. use the needle nose pliers to squeeze the tab back into the small slot on the refill.
ten minute job and looks a lot better then the new after market wipers, no pics, but once you have the new refills you can figure it out
