TDParent*9541 Duct tape method worked. Fun checking that one off the to-do list on a foggy Jan. Sunday afternoon. Oh Yeah!TDParent*9541

Try fishing a pocket comb out??? Not fun

I think I just took the Booby Prize for weird stuff, I had a pocket comb get jammed crossways with the teeth facing back towards me.

After much drama, I managed to get it to move out of the way, I'm not sure it actually dropped all the way to the bottom to join the other debris on the hump. Of course, the temperature was dropping down through the lower 40s F heading for a predicted low in the high 20s. And the sun had gone down. It may bounce around and block things again, but at least I know what it is now.

Some warm Spring day I'll figure how to access that area, maybe from the driver's foot well and clear out all the accumulated trash.

Take care,

tomtomtomtom Just recovered a memory card that slipped is as easy as above...I used a round tip knife to pry of the trim piece and then just pulled the front edges of the wood trim was that easy!!!

Thanks for this info and thread!!

fulfill I'm going to try your method. I'm having the same issue, but it's my cc stuck back there!

slmskrs No such luck. My daughter put my wife's cc on top, turned a corner, and down it went. But not just inside the door slot, it dropped all the way to the bottom. I can actually see the previous owner has a CC down there as well, but I can't figure out how to remove additional stuff to get down there. There are two torx screws on either side of the slide rail for the top; they didn't do anything other than let me pull apart the rails enough to pull the flex door off. There are two torx screws below and to the outside of where the temp controller goes. I loosened them, but didn't see anything getting loose such that I could move it. There are also two larger torx bolts at the far rear behind where the flex door would close, but my 3/8" socket driver for my torx bits won't allow me to get to the angle I need to in order to try to take them out (will have to buy a torx "screw" driver just for this (assuming these bolts will allow me to pull out the unit (although it doesn't appear it will). So I'm at a loss as to how to get down underneath. Now that I've seen the PO's CC down there, I'm wondering what other treasures are down there with my wife's CC. Just no clue how to get farther than this. Any suggestions?

Thanks! I wasn't sure about removing the wooden cover part but after prying the front part, everything was okay!

Oceantide How did you remove the trim plate? They want to charge me $300.00 and that is just plain nuts!
