My '82 500SE and '83 500SL both do not have an FPR/ dampener either inline with the WUR or otherwise. There is not a frequency valve on them either.
The '80 M117 has one FRP and a frequency valve but not an ICV (Idle control valve)- well not an electronic one. There is of course the recessed air valve where latter models find their ICV.
Looking at schematics at the above link shows that some models beginning in 1983 intended for the US had 2 FPR's. By 1985 all models had 2.
It is my understanding that the 560 model was exported to the US and Japan only. I'd be interested to know if A) the FPR is used to maintain a higher fuel pressure for increased MPG AND B) if Japan models are so equipped?
It should be noted that the frequency valve works in consort with the oxygen sensor so it would stand to reason that all cars with o2 emissions would have both and the FPR is an essential part of this system as well as EGR and others.

FPR = fuel pressure regulator in this case, not fuel pump relay.

2 FPR's on '85 M116?
I've checked my disc for 107. I've looked all over BUT can't find what I'm looking for-
DOES THIS MAKE AND MY HAVE 2 FPR'S? I have the standard on the driver side of the FD that connects to the frequency valve. However, there is also one on the back side of the FD. This is the only car of the 6 CIS-k car's I have. Help is welcomed.
