Lots of photos with broken links
It can be tedious to use the "way-back-machine" to back to 2010.

Most think it is cute to web host pictures, but like most here everyone moves on, so that means those pictures do not live on, yet that is why you should always up load pictures to Benzworld, so the pictures live forever for others to see... My posts from 10 years are still here.

Mike p I have a 1993 600SL with 53 miles, with all the original biodegradable harnesses. I ordered a MB engine harness a few years ago that I've never installed------the wiring still looks OK but I'd rather prepare for the future.

Because of this enlightened forum I've learned that MAF harnesses are available.

1. I've tried to access some of the links in this long running thread but they seem to be unavailable. How are the replacement harnesses installed?? Do I need additional parts to effectuate this fix???

2. Is there a similar fix for the ETA harnesses??

Thank you in advance for sharing your knowledge

Rich,

Sorry some of us have our benzworld portal to display the max pages per computer screen, so it was not Post 24, so what post is it?...

I had posted this a while, and it may help on post 12

Inspect your wires, and open those wiring plastic channels.

All the best,

Martin

I ordered MAF from them $190, got the e-mail the same day part NLA. They promptly updated their part catalog with that info.

Do I need the package one or two times for both MAFs?

I always run the wires in this heatshield to prevent future deterioration of the wire insulation.
Thank you Thank you for the update!!!

I thought this harness was no longer available....

The Mercedes Dealer out of Florida has the harness for $100

kubasz Hi guys

im a W140 forum user but as i recently got myself a R129 i started looking around here to see for common problems with that specific model and it seems there are similar problems on both models. I love M120 i repair wiring harnesses for these motors. I can imagine that sending parts to Europe may not be reasonable but maybe there are euro viewers here looking for help with this specific issue
