Rory Gallagher, one of the best live acts ever, had a huge following in Europe (no record collection should be without his 'Live in Europe' album).
In the early to mid 90's (fuzzy memory from being chemically challenged ), the Brits of Ringo's all star band (sans Ringo, who stayed apart and sober) were staying with a Brit friend in the hills here. I think they performed several dates around L.A., nearby Universal or Hollywood Bowl and Orange County.
I have a pic somewhere with Jack Bruce, Simon Kirke, Peter Frampton, and Gary Brooker on a long couch with piles of peanut shells on the floor.
I think Booker T (no MG's) co wrote the original 'born under a bad sign.'

3 great races in a row, are we getting spoiled? A win for Verstappen and Honda. Vettel drove a very good race, finally had some good luck, and looked deservedly happy. He needed it, let's hope it helps to get his head straight. The drivers all seem to like the Hockenheim track, apparently Mercedes Benz was the main sponsor this year.
To me as German, it is unthinkable to imagine the Country without a race on the F1 calendar.

Post race, both Alfa Romeo were penalized + 30 seconds, supposedly for using illegal wet start mapping.

Rain is such a great equalizer. It was interesting seeing where Bottas and Hamilton end up when you take the Silver Arrows superiority out of the equation.

Thumbs up

Hi Teutone

"Hamilton was ill, and Mercedes had Ocon standing by to take over driving duty for qualli and the race.
Apparently, even a sick Hamilton is still fast enough for pole position"

With that 58 second pit stop for Hamilton, the team's costumes weren't the only 50's piece of racing history the team managed to dredge up and display.

Maybe they need a sensor letting them know the nose has been ripped off the car. With so much emphasis placed on landing pole these days, its easy to overlook that pole is meaningless if you don't finish the race.
