Fangio was an amazing racer. As a kid, I had been reading about Tazio Nuvolari's history and exploits as a racer, and thought what a perfect name for a racing driver. The name alone already sounded fast
Champion on bicycles, motorbikes and on four wheels. Finishing on the podium after losing the steering wheel and having had to steer with a spanner?
Now that's impressive.

There is an annual Ferrari event where a procession of the cars pass his house now a museum. I remember seeing a clip with Gilles Villeneuve's F1 car and his widow attending.
