Mercedes still got a bit lucky with Vettel's lengthy pit stop. In his middle stint, and before the pit stop time loss Vettel made up a lot of time (8 sec?) to Bottas, and at one time was only .3 sec behind him.
Then the gap increased again. Perhaps the Ferrari cannot follow as closely as the Red Bull, the tires were overheating, or a combination of both.
Ferrari had a shot of having podium positions for both drivers imo.
To see lots of passes and close fights for position was refreshing.
Cheers

On average, I used to visit Amsterdam and Zandvoort per month. My old friends family lives a few hundred yard S on Burgemeester.
To have the Dutch GP back and Verstappen in a car should be good for record ticket sales.
They packed the place with demo runs by Verstappen Jr and Senior not too long ago.
I am quite tempted to go, plus they have great fish and chips, and people using ketchup are being looked at in a funny way

It was a great race. Lots of action in most of the field.

Never been to Zandvoort, but back in HS was in Amsterdam The Hague often to play on sports teams against other schools for Americans.

Btw, are you familiar with the American school in Oberursel, next to the Feldberg that has the US forces radio and TV transmitter?
Its almost a Frankfurt suburb.

I am, they came to play us in the UK with their basketball team. Our soccer team traveled to play them in Oberursel.

Now it is the The International School of Frankfurt or something close to that.
