I was very surprised at that last lap in Q3 by Vettel. He wrung everything out that car it had.

Now if the team does not shot him in the foot we may actually have a race that is not the MB show
with Bottas only getting P5.

Controversial race result for sure but there are probably strong opinions on both sides. Hamilton didn't have the speed Vettel had and that off by Vettel was the only chance Hamilton had. Admittedly, I have not seen the TV coverage since I was in the stands at the hairpin watching the track feed but maybe the stewards saw something in Vettel's re-entry that I didn't see. As far as I could tell, if Vettel hadn't gone off, he wouldn't have found himself in the position he was on re-entry. He needs to own the "off" and anything that came with it. On the other hand, Hamilton didn't have enough today to win on effort alone, IMO

The majority of Ex F1 drivers and TV commentators saw it as racing incident.
Before the controversial penalty was announced, SKY TV's Ted Kravitz said; "If Vettel gets a penalty for hard racing, we should all pack up and go home."
The booing of the crowd showed with whom they sympathy was. Vettel was voted best driver of the race, and he obviously came very close to boycotting the podium.

5 times Le Mans winner and race steward Emanuelle Pirro may be well advised to stay out of his native Italy for a few weeks
