Introductions

Hey everyone,

It appears that I'm the first one to post here so I'll get the ball rolling. I wanted to introduce myself and say how much I'm looking forward to the new Mercedes GLB class! My lease will be ending soon on my 2017 GLA and the announcement of the GLB has peaked my interest, especially with the optional third row seat. With what I've been seeing so far I can definitely see myself switching vehicles when it goes on sale.

I look forward to getting to know all the new GLB fans and learning with you as more information gets released!

are you planning to place a deposit in the coming weeks?

I'm not sure yet, I need to get a bit more information on the GLB before i take the plunge on a deposit. But if I do decide to put some money down I'll be sure to keep you in the loop.

Hello all, I too am very interested in this new Baby G-Wagon as a purely winter vehicle (November-April). I was considering an actual early 463 G-Wagon but thought that perhaps one vintage Merc in the garage is enough. About the same price, too.

For my purposes the 250 will probably suffice over the 350, with savings between the two put into options. Won't need the third row, glad its an option I can skip to save weight and get more floor.

Really liking the return to boxy styling, not only looks, puts the U back in SUV as the shape pays dividends in interior volume.

Must admit that where its going to be manufactured is somewhat concerning, and that it's the first year of production. The old advice of never buying in the first year of production is a bit dated these days, but it's not an entirely useless concept. It's also based on a relatively new platform, too. This won't stop me from giving it a serious look when it releases however.
