lane avoidance warning buzzer

hi Ya, my next E350 needs lane avoidance warning; you know the kind on most new cars that tells you that the car is wandering.
what year does it begin on the E350?

much obliged,
Jeffinski

This is the option that was available on post-lifted W212, what I think happen in 2010.
There are several gizmos like
- steering wheel shake when you drive over the line
- red light in mirror when you have vehicle in blind spot
-warning beep when you have such vehicle and turn the blinker, or move the steering wheel.
-car steering against such maneuver
Than when you wander too much, you will have icon of coffee cup showing on your cluster "take a break"

I can't exactly remember the year during which these active and passive avoidance warnings and maneuvers either began or were available, so I'll defer to Kajtek1, but I can share some experiences with them.

The first 3 more passive warnings that Kajtek1 mentions go off from time to time while driving. Sometimes I'm aware that it was something I probably triggered, and sometimes I get a light with a bing/buzz, but I'm unable to figure out what the warning was all about. It just happens, and it's gone! As for the more active avoidance maneuvers, I've yet to experience those and hope I never do.

Good info New York. Only one that is of interest is light in mirror that says there is something in blind spot. Does that work? Much obliged,

The blind spot detection system works very well in my car. If you're driving too slowly for it to work (there's a minimum speed), the triangle illuminates in yellow. When driving at valid speeds, the triangle is not illuminated unless there is a something in the detection zone, which causes it to illuminate in red. If you switch the turning signal on and there's something in the detection zone, the triangle flashes in red and an audible tone is heard.

When warning lights for blind spots are nice, the warnings beeps are too sensitive for me.
In multi-lane traffic I often change the lane with 10' between the cars and the beeps come on.
I also have one of those accident avoidance option. It will not stop the car on its own, but will push the pedal strong, when you have your foot on it.
Happen to me few times already when I've been safe distance from other car and the thing kicked in.
I guess too much sensitivity is better than too little.

That might take long time and by then you will have self-driven cars on the road.
