Replaced Diamler-Benz Product sticker

After much debate, I decided to replace the famous sticker on the lower passenger windshield on my car.

I kind of wanted to keep the one the car came with, but it was in such bad shape. I called Mercedes-Benz classic (Yes, on the phone. There's no where online to order one) on Thursday to order the sticker. It cost $8.50, plus $10.00 for shopping. (Yes, 10 whole dollars.) I received it Monday morning, he said I would've gotten it next day if I hadn't waited so late on Thursday.

Not cheap, but I wanted the correct sticker. The dealers only had the clear "Mercedes-Benz Product" sticker, and the one's on eBay... Weren't it.

Before and after pictures (After a fresh wax) attached. I know it's so minor, but I feel like it really brings it all together.

jlexvold likes this.

I don't think it would be a good idea for me to create a signature. It would probably just be some shameless plug about me being a Realtor.

To remove the old sticker, I sprayed it with some WD-40 and let it sit for a while.

Then I got a towel wet with hot water and held it against for a minute and kind of scraped it off with a VERY dull Flathead screwdriver. (Don't do this, use a razor blade. It didn't scratch my windshield, but you'd have to see how dull this screw driver was)

Some of it peeled off, maybe 1/3 of it, pretty easily.

I used a credit card to put on the new one. I made a mark on the windshield with a sharpie to know about where to put it, then wiped away the sharpie with some hand sanitizer, then washed that off with Windex.

I don't think it would be a good idea for me to create a signature. It would probably just be some shameless plug about me being a Realtor.

I'm all about details!
Lucky you didn't damage the windshield. Otherwise looks good!

It was super stressful, but it makes the car look like it came from the dealer yesterday

How can removing a windshield sticker be "super stressful?" What happens each year when you must change both your registration and inspections stickers - total meltdown?

Because I wanted to get it on there as close as possible to where the old one was.

I live in Georgia, we have our registration stickers on our license places .
