Magnaflow exhaust and cats

Hello. Im considering doing preventative upkeep as i always do on my mercedes so things dont get worse or happen at truly bad times.
My question is in regards to magnaflow aftermarket bolt on catalytic converters. They seem ok and conveniently built to just replace and go.
My question is, should i pay 900 to save money or just go with oem mercedes which is 1400 ? Is saving 500 really saving money or a three year band aid ?
I appreciate your time reading and or replying to my post.

Check out OEM prices at genuinemercedesparts.com autohausaz.com etc. before deciding. OEM is more likely to fit properly, work properly and last longer IMHO. Your Merc ain't no Neon...

Check and see how much re-manufactured cats are from Mercedes. Usually they are actually brand new and a lot cheaper than the labeled NEW cats from Mercedes.

As far as I know, in California cats need to be CA approved (numbers).

Welcome to the forum.
Click 'Forums' on the top toolbar for the drop down menu, and scroll down to C208/A208 CLK-Class.
Daimler Benz made different versions of same model cars for different parts of the world, so to get the correct information on an international forum like benzworld, location can be important.
Location can be added to your profile by clicking 'User CP.'
You can also search the W208 forum archive by using the google special search on top, the other search function can be quite cumbersome if you are new to it.
Cheers
