Hack to perminently deactivate stop/start

Many Drivers don`t like stop/start, I have posted this on older threads but decided to start a new up to date thread, all comments welcome.

This FREE hack takes 5 minutes and will deactivate all C-Class w204 cars with stop/start including SLK, not suitable for SLK55, (it will probably work on other cars of those years), I have been testing this hack on a 2012 C-Class coupe CGI for almost 4 months with NO issues, there are NO warning lights or EMl, the battery in this car is 7 years old and the car is driven 3 or 4 times per week and starts first turn of key. You will loose brake hold with this hack as that is linked to stop/start. Without the sensor in place the ECU can`t read the SOC and defaults the alternator to a standard default charge of betwee 13.8 and 14.2 volts, there is no overcharging and the alternator now fully charges the battery instead of allowing the SOC to go down as low as 80% before recharging.

The hack on the SLK55 stops cylinder deactivation working (also linked to stop/start) and is therefore not suitable.

Open Hood/Bonnet, remove battery cover of large main Battery, go to the thick negatve (black) lead connected to the battery, observe a small square box attached to main lead, observe 2 small wires leading from this box unclip the connector attached to these wires and the small square box, wrap insulation tape around both parts of the connector, replace battery cover and close Hood/bonnet. Just plug back in to reverse.
