Slamming the rear hatch door: Is it normal?

2011 G55

I've got to slam the rear hatch door to keep the warning from appearing in the center console from coming on.
If I close it softly, even though it's fully closed and flush with the exterior of the truck, the warning that the hatch is open will will come on.
I've got to slam it so hard, I'm sure it's going to screw up the internals sooner or later.

Is this normal?

If not, is there something I can adjust so that it doesn't require that I slam it shut?

Maybe check the position/condition of the door switch?

Both internal hatch door switches were just replaced a few days ago.

For this reason? Did you check the cabling? If you close it softly and then you push it hard inwards while the error is reproduced, does it work?
