Question CL 65 AMG - Which tires recomanded ?!

Hello everyone ,

I have a cl 65 , and currently using continental tires , but i must say im not very satisfied with them , and i would prefer to change them with some other.

The reason i dont like my current tires is simply because the car is to powerful and it doesnt seem that this tires can handle it , because i do "slip" a lot in the streets asphalt.

Thank you and regards,

Rejdi

Thank you for the post Rejdi. We would be happy to make a recommendation for your driving needs.

Which Continental tire model are you currently driving on? I assume the ContiSportContact 2? Besides better grip, what else are you looking for out of your next set of tires? I assume the vehicle will not be driven in winter conditions? How many miles are you driving per year?

Thank you for your reply !

The current tires Im using are : continental M 0 , Contact 2 - these are four seasons tires.

I guess Im looking for tires which would increase the performance of my car , since with my current tires Im having problems with acceleration and I do slip a lot on the asphalt and Im not having much road contact with the tires.

Also , I want to say that I am looking for summer tires , since Im not going to drive in winter season (dealing with snow and ice).
So maybe Dunlop would be a good decision for me ? For instance this one :

Or maybe you can suggest me , something else ?

Regards

Thank you for the additional information.

If you want to run a dedicated performance summer tire I suggest taking a close look at the Michelin Pilot Super Sport. This model has excellent dry traction (as well as wet) and maintains a consistant footprint, even at higher speeds. Here are a couple links with more details.

Thank you very much for your reply

I would like to tell you that i have been advised to purchase dunlop tires ,according from what I am looking for, regarding my next set of tires.

Ive been suggested to get : Dunlop - SP Sport Maxx GT 600 or Dunlop - Sport Maxx Race.

Reading the stats and reviews of this tires , it looks that they indeed complete my requirements of what Im looking for.

So my question to you as an expert , would be do you think these two dunlop tires would be satisfy my needs ?!

Regards

What is the current sizes you are running on your vehicle along with what year? Your vehicles may have different sizes than our US models.

We looked up the Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT 600. Dunlop shows it as a run flat tire. We do not show your vehicle as coming with run flat tires. It would handle different with run flat tires as they are much heavier.

The Dunlop Sport Maxx Race may not come in your OE tire sizes.

They both appear to have the correct load speed rating for your vehicle.
