2004 E500 (w211) plus size fitment

I have a 2004 Mercedes Benz E500 with stock tires and wheels. I would like to install aftermarket wheels and tires and want to know if HR TRAK+spacers are needed to ensure the wheels and tires "appear" flush with the front and rear fenders. If so, what spacers and lug bolts are recommended? Please advise.

Stock Tires: 245/45/17 (F&R)
Stock Wheels: 17x8, 5x112, et35, CB 66.5

Aftermarket Tires: 235/40/18 (F&R)
Aftermarket Wheels: 18x8.5, 5x112, et35, CB 66.6

Thank you for the post.

The 18x8.5 +35 wheels will sit less than 1/2" (0.39" to be exact) closer to the fenders when compared to where the factory 17x8 +38 wheels sit now. What size spacers are you considering?

Am considering 5mm spacers especially for the rear as it appears the stock tires and wheels could move out a 1/2 inch. Would you recommend spacers for the front and rear or just the rear wheels and tires? I get confused since the aftermarket wheel is 8.5 wide instead of 8.0, yet the tire width is less on the aftermarket as opposed to the stock tire. Any further advice is appreciated.

According to our fitment information, the 18x8.5 +35 with 5mm spacers (changes the offset to +30mm) will place the edge of the wheel about .25" inside of the front fender and about .50" inside the rear fender. We do not recommend running spacers so my suggestion is to find an 18x8.5 with a +25mm offset to achieve the look you are after.

Thanks for the information - that's what I was looking for. I will not worry about running spacers on the tires as it seems the stance of the aftermarket wheels and tires will be slightly closer to the fenders than stock.
