All trim on car discoloring

All the trim around the windows and also the roof rack are getting discolored. They almost look like there’s oil on them but it isn’t greasy at all. You can rub it off but it comes back. Any advice on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

That looks like hard water staining. Usually vinegar is used to remove that, but do some research.

If the parts are etched perhaps they can be covered under warranty. I would see the dealer if this is the 2018 GLS.

Thanks for the reply. It’s not etched as far as I can tell.

A black trim restorer type product would probably cover the staining, but it won't be permanent.

Thanks for the replies. I spoke to the dealership and was told that the metal is oxidizing and it should be covered under warranty.
