Gas tank leaking from outside

Hi All,

about two years ago I changed my 2006 CLS fuel pump unit from inside the car.

Now I have a fuel smell outside my car, my mechanic told me that the delivery lines outside the gas tank is leaking and it must be replaced. However, he told me that the dealer may not have the parts, things will be much clearer only if he "the mechanic" open the whole tank apart.

I need some advise please.

Thanks,

Have dealer check for fuel odor under extended warranty, covers fuel tank assembly see attachment. If not in MBUSA market see if MB will match warranty.
