Is There a Way to Disable Parktronic?

Is there a way to disable the parktronic system? I just find it more irritating than useful. I've never been able to figure out why the front sensors beeeeeeeeep when I'm backing out of a parking space. If I'm in reverse, the rear sensors should be active and vice versa. Oh well, maybe someone here knows how to turn it off permanently.

Thanks!

Theres a switch on the console, to the bottom right of the shifter. Press it once to turn it off. I suppose you could, in theory, disconnect the module from the trunk as well.

Hahhahaa! Yes, I know about that one, I mean so that it stays off when you turn off and then on the car again. As in the default for it should be off...

That's quite possibly a programming option. I'll check with my STAR and see if its possible.

I know its been a few years since you replied to this post, but were you able to find out how to permanently disable the parktronic sensors?
