Park Assist Question

Hi,
In a 2015 CLS400, Does the Park Assist look out for the front of the car when backing into a 90 degree spot i.e. where the car ends up pointing across the road, not parallel parking, but backing in to a normal car spot ?

Reason I ask, is that at work, it is a very tight car park spot with plenty of pillars and cars making it tough to swing the nose around when backing in - I often have to crab in doing 3 or 4 moves, otherwise the nose will hit a pole or car opposite my car park.

Its basically a single lane in the carpark, so I drive past my allocated spot and then reverse in (trying not to swing too wide and avoiding already parked cars on both sides. It is tight.

A bit hard to explain, but if you understand what I mean, then will it help ?

thanks

Doug11.
