Power source supply to trunk latch

Hello to one and all.
With all the knowledge at hand here I hope somebody can shed some light on this matter.
So the trunk soft close works well. The remote opening does not. The key is the only way to open the trunk There is no power signal to the air control valve which diverts air to the opening puck on the latch mechanism. The air valve does work on the bench. Can somebody please say where signal comes from. And or if it is the PSE unit what number pins it is.
Big ask I know. But hey it may also help another Benz owner out.

Thanks

Sorry everyone.

Sorry everyone.
You would be thinking R129's don't have soft close trunks.
Dum dum me forgot to mention it is a CL600 c215 model car

Thank you sir for that thread link.
Rest assured that the puck is not the problem. I am trying to find the origin of the electrical signal to the air valve that allows the air to flow through to the puck to unlock the trunk latch. I am thinking it may be a broken wire from the unit that sends the electrical signal. Maybe even the PSE unit itself. I am trying to trace the loom in reverse from the latch. which I also know has the other micro switch that operates the truck light when it is opened. So any info or even wiring schematic of the trunk latch set up would be awesome.
Thanks from the other side of the world

Not sure if you already know this, but I believe there should be a fuse in the passenger side rear foot area block that controls this. I fixed my puck a week ago an they other day the trunk stopped opening. I don't have a fuse diagram so I tested them all and found that one to be blown. I replaced it (I believe it was a 25A but I'm not 100% certain) and the trunk opened again. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the idea. It is certainly worth checking out. I will do some snooping around this weekend and see what I can discover

Hello again folks. Hope you are all well. Here is a weird thing that maybe you CL w215 folks have come across.
Has any body ever had a situation where you use the remote fob to open the boot/trunk of your CL500/600 and this happens
It does open perfectly but almost instantly say in 2/3 seconds decides to automatically self lock via the soft touch like you are manually shutting it in a car park. Because I have the trunk lid trim off you can see this happen.
It opens ok and then it closes again. Any idea folks?

Hello and good day to everyone.
As a follow on from the trunk locking straight away after remote opening I have good news for those people that may be wondering what was causing the problem.
I took a chance and fitted a second hand PSE unit in the trunk and viola it was fixed. Not only this did fix the trunk problem and soft touch function on the LH door now work as well. A real bonus in my world that's for sure. Thanks to one and all
