How to remove evap canister valve

Hello to all. Wonder if someone can tell me how to remove the valve from the canister to get to the charcoal filter without removing the canister. Don't want to break it. Thanks

2005 W215 CL500. Taking forever to refuel. Thought I'd try cleaning the charcoal filter first.
