Did anyone here buy the Red 06 CL65 on Autotrader a few months back?

There was a very nice 06 CL65 for sale on Autotrader several months ago. The key factor that distinguished it: it was painted Ferrari Red. Black leather/alcantara interior, carbon fiber, all bells and whistles (parktronic, keyless go, distronic). The ad said it was special ordered, 1 of 1, etc. Looked very nice. The car was located in south carolina somewhere.

Last I tried clicking on the autotrader link I saved it said the car was sold. I'm wondering if anyone here picked it up.

I'm with ya...i'm a fan of big merc coupes and I was weary at first...but I can say I love the red in the W215. Not so much a fan of the red say in the C126 or the C140. I think the shape of the w215 is what makes the difference...looks a lot more svelte. On the previous models they straighter edges and the bright red color makes the car look too bulky and square.

I would like to keep track of this car in case it comes up for sale and is within my budget. When I saw it for sale I think it had 60k miles and the asking price was $60k

I have so many mixed feelings about this CL65. I love the CL65 but in this color I am not sure. At first I said I would trade anything I have for this but then when I saw the headrest logo's and the wheels I was turned off a little bit. As Travis stated I think C Class when see a bright red of a MB of that year.

The odometer in the pictures show only 46,000 miles. Are you sure it was the same car?

the more i look at this car..the more i love it to be honest, it really is a beauty

although the carbon fiber interior and rear window lip are really bugging me...who knows maybe i'll come back in a week and absolutely love it haha

Yeah, it's the same car...i guessed the wrong milage. The price though, was around the 60k mark. I remember correctly because it's just way out of my current budget .

I totally agree about the trunk lip, wheels and headrest embroidery. That car looks gorgeous stock...and other than a few exceptions with wheels...it should be left stock in my opinion. At the very least change the wheels to silver and not chrome...that's overkill. I'm a fan of the carbon fiber rear diffuser on this generation CL's, but I wouldn't dare put it on this car. I think it would detract from the look.

What do you guys think about the "AMG" embroidery? At first I was sure it was not a factory thing but then, after closer inspection, the stitching and thread color seem to match the rest of the silver stitching in the seats and upholstery.
