Retrofitting Factory Subwoofer to a stock non-HK/non-Bose system ?

Hi guys,
I have a stock audio 10 system, not fiberoptic on a convertible MY 04, I changed the door speakers, and was looking to retrofit the whole center rear seat Subwoofer to my car off of eBay. I would take care of the amplification and wiring.
What I'm concerned with is fitting the factory sub/enclosure where the actual middle rear seat is.
Is it doable/easy to retrofit? What are the step to remove the middle section of the bench?

Thank you

Your profile does not refer to a CLK cabrio... what model is it? However this post from the archives covers the topic.

Thank you for the link,
Yes I haven't put it in my profile as I acquired it very recently but I mentioned in the post " convertible MY 04".
The link show very well how to install with the attached file. But my car does not have a sub from factory, it has the standard 4 speakers only. Is the rear bench/subwoofer a straight swap with my actual "normal" rear center bench?

How is the performance of that stock subwoofer in the cabriolet by the way? is it half decent for deep bass (50hz), or just some higher pick "kicks" ?
