There is actually a 'chirp' capability on these cars.

It can be enabled/disabled using STAR.

Do you happen to know, how much the dealer would charge to Enable that?

Could be your alarm siren has died a quiet death.

Easy enough to find out...

Possibly, but factory setting is silent.

If you want it to be enabled your best bet is a good indy with the proper STAR system, the dealership will probably charge Mega$$$.
CLK 430x likes this.

exactly, but you need to test this at 3 in the morning when you are sure all of your neighbors are fast asleep... dress all in black, ski mask, and try to steal your car....really have to simulate an actual theft...just to be sure

Check ur lights! I recently got a state inspection, luckily for me the inspector missed it. I noticed upon locking doors it chirped "twice", and I knew something was wrong. Try this.. check turn signal then pay attention to the blinks if they move slow it may be a blown Amber tail bulb, by which you'll have to remove 5 nuts from trunk to access light. GL
