C207 All fuse/relay box details

This post provides the location of the 4 fuse/relay boxes, and the assignment of the fuses & relays contained within, on the C 207 E-class coupe. It is valid for all engine variants from MY 2010.

Details are supplied from my WIS as follows;

a) The 4 fuse/relay box locations.
b) Pre-fuse box F32. Fuses f150 to f164.
c) Interior fuse box F34 - also termed the left cockpit fuse box. Fuses f116 to f135.
d) Front SAM & fuse/relay box (N10/1) Fuses f1 to f 36. relays A to G.
e) Rear SAM & fuse/relay box ((N10/2) Fuses f37 to f92 relays J to R.

There are 15 pre-fuses (including 4 spares) on the C207. The pre-fuses are the protection for the high current consumers. Typically 100A, they are not likely to fail unless the car is in a collision. They are not shown on the MB supplied fuse chart.

The pre-fuses are located in the engine bay, and may be of use when looking for a battery drain, as they save the chore of pulling every fuse in the car looking for the cause.

Additional caution. The pre-fuses all have battery voltage connected (circuit 30 - unswitched +12 vdc) even when the ignition key removed from the switch. So be careful with your tools touching the chassis (earth) if you remove one of these fuses.

Their appearance is very different to the blade fuses used elsewhere. I believe that they are known as the 'cartridge' type.

A note about the +12v supply code shown on the fuse drawings. It indicates the position of the ignition switch is when the supply is available.

15 = switched battery power, live in positions 2 & 3
15R = switched battery power, live in positions 1, 2 & 3
30 = unswitched battery power.
87 = powered via (unspecified) relay.

Hi All,

First post I checked around but couldnt find any info on it...

At night should the push to start button have a light ring around it or anything, as well as the light selector?

Just wondered if maybe a fuse was out or they just dont light up?

Thanks!

Update

I have been asked about access to the fuse boxes. It seems to me that all, except the rear fuse box (N10/2) in the trunk, are very straightforward.

If the car does not have the Tirefit option, the WIS drawing shows what looks like a removable window in the right side trunk panelling about where the fuse box is located. So the entire right side panel need not be removed.

If Tirefit is installed, the entire right side trunk panelling must be removed to access the fusebox, and several other items. This is shown on the attached WIS document (coupe only)

Please advise here if this information is not correct.
