U1300L Ambulance camper upgrade
We toyed with various ideas for the spare wheel. I have a Reddot on the roof so that's not an option. I'm really sorry that I removed the original Mog spare assembly and didn't leave it in place and arrange the fuel around it. In my opinion it's the perfect place for the wheel. We looked at rolling it upright into the front of the camper, as a frame on the rear of the camper or, as it ended up, in the tail of the camper. The logic for not putting it on the back was that this requires quite a bit more steel/weight and would require that I shorten the camper. The spare takes away a lot of storage, but my design goals don't require a years worth of stuff.
The toolboxes follow the departure angle and house the rear light clusters. Aluminum, powdercoated and double sealed. Now they are powdercoated it's hard to make out the detail in the picture.
More to come once the camper lid is on.
