Then bridge the wires on the dimmer switch itself .But it will be bright all the time you wont be able to dim it . Replacement is easy remove screws reverse operation to fit back in place . The lights went off in my cluster . so i removed the pot . Only to find after i operated on it that the potentiometer had fallen to bits inside .Cleaned it and put it back, all is well with it now.
That will require a cluster pull, so get those hook things to pull it. It's not so bad. Just getting behind w/your fat, big hand to loosen/re-tighten the speedo cable is not that fun.
