I have found a 1999 S500 with 722.636 trans. The S500 has 306 hp and 460NM torque. My E55 has 354hp and 530NM torque.

What would the differences be? Clutch packs? The valvebodies are the same (confirmed).

Anyone knows?

If you need to change the tranny, at least upgrade. Try to source one from the S600. Itís rated up to 900Nm and can handle any abuse you ever could throw at it.
