I suggest to first check the camshaft … before worrying about the details of changing it. There are quite a few more details worth considering than the ones mentioned in this thread so far.
And don‘t worry about the "“non-shiny" yellow edges“
mentioned in post 110 !
… They‘re very normal and there's nothing wrong with them. On the cams they are areas the rocker arms never had contact with, and on the journals they are areas the bearings never had contact with.
And again, don‘t rashly follow suggestions to change the valve guides !
