Angry Rear Wiper question

Somehow, my GLK was taken through a carwash. To protect the guilty, I won't say who. As you can guess, the rear wiper was knocked off. The blade is lost. One of the small tangs on the arm was broken.

Do any of you people know the MB part numbers for the arm and blade? I hate going to the dealer not knowing a little information about what I need.

Parts on order

Now, I have some information about the rear wiper. The wiper blade is about $25.00 and the arm is $55.00.

There is a plastic cap covering the end of bottom end of the arm. It pops off and there is a large nut holding on the arm. When I get the new parts, it should be an easy job to remove the old part and reinstall the new one. The only holdup could be the small washer fluid underneath the arm.

When I get the parts, I will take a few photos and hope for the best.

Thumbs up The Final Chapter

The parts arrived this morning. But, it was not a simple remove and replace type repair.

There is a simple cap over the holddown nut, it just pops off without too much effort. The 13mm nut comes right off. Now, everything comes to a halt. The bolt passes through the arm and is held on as a press fit. The arm will not pull off. Since it is connected to the rear glass, I did not want to apply too much force.

The only part of the arm that was broken was the very outer end of the arm. So, I looked at the replacement arm to see what could be done. The arm is in two sections and they are held together by a spring. So, I pulled to old arm towards the left and wedged a screwdriver between the sections. After popping off the spring, I was able to separate the sections. Reverse the actions with the new outer arm section.

Now, the replacement wiper blade will pop back in.

Just for info:
