Oh, on a more important note. My girlfriend got a shitty camera phone picture of the GLK bluetec by MB Laguna Niguel, mostly in camo still. Still ugly in my opinion. And will probably still sell boatloads, unless it pulls an R-class on us.
The Merecedes- Benz GLK (code name X204) is a compact entry-level luxury crossover SUV coming in 2008, to compete with the Infinity EX, Acura RDX, MBW X3, Volkswagen Tiguan the land Rover LR2/Freelander and the upcoming Audi Q5 and Volvo XC60. The model will slot below the M-Class in the lineup. The upcoming GLK-Class will launch in 2008 and will be built in Bremen (Germany), the first Mercedes SUV to be built there. Rumored engines are the 2.8L V6 and the 3.5L V6 making up the GLK 280 and the GLK 350. Its design is heavily infuenced by the G-Class. The GLK 350 has been seen without camouflage in the filming of Sex and the City Movie. January 12th 2008, actress Kim Cattrall appeared at a special unveiling ceremony at the North American International Auto Show in Detriot, confirming that her Sex and the City character (Samantha Jones) would drive the SUV in the movie version of the popular TV show. The GLK will be presented for the first time in 2008 in Detroit under the form of the Mercedes-Benz Vision GLK Freeside concept. It is speculated that the GLK-Class will share the C-Class (W204) platform, and production plans continued after the demise of the similar Smart Formore.
