Two big issues (dealer wants $5,000 to fix them.)

1. Oil leak. Dealer says the oil cooler is leaking. I assume he means the heat exchanger that sits atop the engine. Seems like a reasonable DIY project. I've done my own fuel filter and its in that area.

2. Fuel leak. Dealer say it is the high pressure fuel pump.

What sent the bill up another $1,500 was the "diagnosis" that my air intake snorkle needed to be replaced. $600 plastic part. I had already "improved" the snorkle by adding a 4" silicone hose where the plastic attaches to the turbo. The plastic had cracked most likely due to the sustained heat of the turbo.

So, has anyone had these issues? Any attempts to DIY?
