w211 suspension type wheel alignment
Firstly it's my first post so Hi!
I bought W211 E200 Kompressor 2007 recently, 25K miles in like new condition. I noticed the car pulls to the right slightly. Yesterday I had all 4 wheels balanced and rotated followed by wheels alignment and today I notice the same thing. - nothing has changed. Tyres are nondirectional so the two rear tyres stayed on the same side of the car and transferred to the front while the front tyres moved backwards and switched sides.
While the guy was setting up the the system and went through settings - RWD or AWD, Standard or Airmatic suspension I was able to give the answers to all except to the last question - Standard or Sport suspension (after selecting standard (non Airmatic) suspension). How can I know which one is my car equiped with? I assumed it is standard (non-sport) and we continued. Before he did the alignment guy invited me to come down, showed me a screw (or bolt) and told that rear alignment can't be done since he has no special MB tool so he will correct the front tyres only. I told him to proceed thinking it will be good enough to drive 5K miles more after which I'd change all 4 tyres and find a shop that can align all 4 wheels.
Also, where can I have car maker's specification for wheel alignment, I'd like to familiarize myself an get some knowledge before I visit them again and discuss this issue. I don't intend to complain if he can't get it straight since they were fair but I'd like to get more into this issue so that I can solve it with the next tire change.
