Sprinter 211cdi ignition problems

Hi, i have recently bought a 2002 MWB Sprinter 211cdi, unfortunetly it has developed an ignition problem. Every time i turn on the ignition nothing happens, all the dash lights light up/go out as they should but it will not turn over, just nothing. This happens four or five times before it will start then it turns over and starts normally. After about a week or so of this the battery goes flat. Help.

have you had the battery checked if ok check earth strap may be corroded

my sprinter does this , i know in my case its the switch on the back of the steering lock but cant be bothered to strip it all out to change , have spare one in van for the day it fully dies

try starter relay under drivers seat base first
