Sprinter 616 2004 Cutting out EDC

I have the very same problem the truck runs fine and then suddenly loss of power and the EDC light comes on if I then switch the key on off an ON again it runs fine. I have replaced the control unit had the injectors tested and calibrated changed the hp pump but got it back today and did the same thing. I noticed that when it labours a bit in a high gear just before or as the turbo boosts the the power cut and the EDS comes on. I have spent a fortune and the problem does not seem to go away

Could anyone please help or make suggestions on what I need to check and in what sequence
