Hi i have the latest (uk) Sprinter 218 cdi 6 cylinder i have a problem with the oil every 2000 miles the warning light comes on saying oil level too high ,it has only done 16000 miles can anyone tell me what it is before i take it back to the dealership , i know its under warranty but they fill you full sh*t some times .

My 316 does this if you fill the engine oil to the max mark on the dipstick, I always now when changing or topping up the oil only fill to just below the max mark about 5-10mm below. Think it has somthing to do with the fairly large amount of oil the engine holds that when it gets hot it expands enough to put the warning light on!!
