Most likely it is an ignition switch problem. I am not sure if you use an EIS in W901, as it would be very expensive. The usual ignition should be ok to DIY to replace, but I don't have the workshop manual. I have attached some info for other classes for your reference.

I just want to make sure I understand the problem. Do you mean?

when you crank the car with the key, the car will not start,

but when you jump it with a different battery, it will start with your key?

oic, so no matter you are using old or new battery, your engine would crank, but it won't start? only sometimes it will start, am I right?

If that is the case, the most likely culprit is the crankshaft position sensor, it is a cheap and easy DIY in sedan, not sure about yours.

It has started with key 2 times since the problem started . this was within 2 or 3 mins of stopping it. i dont know if this was the reason or it was something else

Sorry, my English is not very good, I don't understand what you mean again. You mean you started the car for 2-3min and it stalled? If yes, the CPS most likely.
