Hi Guys...........new to this forum and I am contemplating buying a Mercedes Sprinter....................

Ok.........so I am currently thinking of looking at a 1999 312D MWB Hi-ROOF AUTO....237ks

Q1. What can I expect?

Q2. What are the engine specs for this model?

Q3. What life expectancy can I expect............worst case.......best case scenario?

Q4. What should I be looking for when I go and inspect the Sprinter?

Q5. You tell me................

I have a 313CDI LWB, owned for the last 4 months so cannot comment. But Kappy5003 on the 5-6-9 on Sprinter Faults Servicing etc gives a good write up on all Sprinter Models and their potentail problems

on the 312 check for worn ball joints / anti roll bar bushes, remove the left headlamp, inspect the ecu and wiring for damage from battery acid
check for smoke/starting, and ensure the auto box works ok. other than bodywork they are pretty bullet proof
