Hi all,
I have a power steering fluid leak at the pipe union in the high pressure line on my '94 410D. It looks like the overtightened union needs breaking open (very difficult - I've tried) and the joint replacing. Shouldn't be too difficult should it? But...
I've taken it to a couple of mechanics and nobody seems to want to touch it, so I'm thinking of doing it myself (I do a fair amount of my own mechanics so I'm not a total novice). However the fact that professionals don't want the job has got me a bit worried. What are they so nervous of? What should I watch out for?
