Sprinter rear axle ratio

Hi ! Can anyone help with sprinter's rear axle changing? A'm should change rear axle ASAP, but cannot find any with same aspect ratio. My axle is 38:11 local dismantler got one with 35:8 ratio. If i change to it,how it affect van? Thanks!

it will have an effect, not only will the gearing be different, the axle ratio is set in the ecu, so this will need to be reset, hope this helps

there are no ecu`s on older sprinters Electronic command unit or something like that means its a computer i have an almost 100% mechanical sprinter, with no ecu they dont have a crankwheel speed sensor, but if you change ratios, it would be like another car for you, depending on changes it can accelerate empty like a sport car but wouldnt have any cargo in it.
