Hello,
I run a hymer motorhome based on a sprinter 412d chassis,a very nice vehicle, but their seems to be exsesive travel on footbrake pedal before brakes bite,i have been told that this is prevelant on all sprinters?the brakes stop the van ok ,my other vehicles renault master and old volvo estate only an inch or so movement before brakes bite, has anyone else come across this problem?
Pete.
I've recently purchased a '98 412D and find the same. Brakes apply smoothly and very effectively with little effort, and I was wondering about the generous travel, (whether they needed servicing or not); now I've heard its common, I figure its just a matter of being familiar with the vehicle.
