LIMP MODE, what is it?????

dear friends.

I am new on this forum, I just buyed a 2002 sprinter, engine cdi 611.

I checked some topics, and found LIMP MODE, engine do not rev over 3,000 rpm.

I thought that maybe my sprinter is on LIMP MODE, but I do not know. The synthom is the same, not power, revs only 3,000 rpm, no more.

The last owner, fixed a problem with injector leak, I thought maybe the van is on limp mode since that, and I buyed and still is on limp mode,

Can I reset this mode?

please help me.

PD. there is not check engine light or edc light on.

you will need someone with a code reader to clea any old or new codes and then it will reset same as turning the ignition off and then restarting, but you will need to fix whatever fault comes back as it will go back to limp mode as soon as it detects the fault
