02 milage

hello all, I drive a 02' 211cdi,the odometer reads 155,000 but i feel that there are more miles on the engine and that the digital display has been altered. I was wondering if it has been clocked, is the original mileage still stored in the memory? I remember a friend of mine who had a bmw with 190,000 miles on it, but he was told about an instrument test to do in order to show the true mileage of the car, which turned out to be 225,000 miles. Does anyone know of a similar test available for my van?

Have you tried the online MOT test history thing? If you've got the current MOT/v5 you can check the certs (including fail notices, advisories etc) online and will be able to see the mileages on them.

yes the ecu stores the correct mileage
