sprinter 212 EDC ignition problem

hi all,
iv been searching topics with EDC problems but didnt find a solution.
the car is a 97 212 sprinter (camper)
im completely renewing the interiors of the camper section.
this is what happened: couple of days ago i accidentaly made a short cirquit
wich made the EDC light in the dash light up. stupid but i forgot to disconnect the battery.
the van still drives ok untill i want to turn ignition off. the engine rpm increases for 1 or 2 seconds then turns off. i already checked all of the fuses that i know of (under the seat and stearing wheel)
could this be a relay problem?
