My (new) 515 is too lowly geared.....can anybody tell me what the available differential ratios are? My 515 is down-plated from factory to 3.5ton hence there is no speed limiter or tachograph required. Current revs at 100kmh =3000 which is VERY hard on fuel consumption.
Im considering having the 315 diff fitted....has anybody had this alteration carried out....and was it successful?

Hi CD
That seems very high, I have a 318 with a Auto box and higher ratio back axal and get 60MPH (100Kmh) at 2000rpm.
But sorry cannot rember what the diffrences are, Do you know what ratio you have at the moment?
I dont actually know what my fuel consumption is, but it is significantly worse than my old sprinter (which had 200k on the clock). My old sprinter did something similar to yours....about 60mph at 2000rpm.
Nor do I know what the actual ratios are...I was hoping that somebody here might be able to help.
no its ok this means the ratio for my car is 4,375 :1 its a diferit method tho calculate !
standard is 3,923 you say its corect for 318
ok lest see on other car !
