Hi, I have a 2001 316 LWB on which the rear centre bearing has gone damaging the rear section of the 3 piece propshaft.
A new prop from Merc is horrendously expensive!
My question is are the propshafts from the 311, 313 & 316 all the same as they are readily available from breakers but they are all from 311 or 313.

Why not just have the prop repaired, there are companys that specialise in prop shafts. Ask at a local non fransise HGV workshop if they know of one or try the yellow pages.
You dont say where you are from but if you are near Cambridge then try Bailey Morris in Eaton Socon.
