I`ve recently bought a 311 (2005) and have so far failed to get the air filter cover off enough to remove and renew the filter. Is there any trick to doing this? I can`t believe it`s not a simple job!

Same with the 312D.
Be careful pulling the cover out as it is easy to poke a hole in the filter.
I blow the filter through with compressed air and it looks as good as new.
Might replace it at 50,000K
Can anyone tell me what the replacement period for these air filters air.
When I bought my Sprinter camper van(225,000K), it had the operators manual
but no technical manual at all.
