I have just aquired a 2000 Srinter 312D 4X4. I am about to overhaul the vehicle before it is converted to a Campervan. Does anybody know which components are used for the transmission. It has the later switch engagment system, part-time 4WD and 2 diff locks . I have heard that it uses a mix of G-Wagen and Vito parts. I am trying to get a parts CD and workshop manual for the sprinter series but am not sure if this model will be covered. I would be gratefull for any information about the drive train. Justin
Hi the sprinter conversion was made under license for mercedes benz. All parts are available. I have the latest and last of the old models came to me direct from mercedes with 4318 miles on the clock. Will enclose the information for you as soon as download the site.

Why on earth do you want to convert a Sprinter 4x2 to a 4x4???
Go and buy a Landrover its cheaper in the long run.
In answer to the first comment, the information was originally in the workshop manual (paper format) i think latter T1N Sprinters were converted at Molsheim factory and made to order. Mopf or Cdi Sprinter had factory fitted 4X4 as an option therefore information is on WIS
