Hi Have U got a spare key? if so then use that and try it.

Examine your current key and see if there is any damage, have you got the remote fob type or is it just a normal key?

Usually this error is caused by the computer not recognising the key therefore for security it won't start the car/van

Had same problem with my V Class had to go to Dealer to reset ECU was ok for a couple of weeks then same problem had to get a new ECU.
